India Issues Travel + Visa Restrictions Related to COVID-19

Kegler Brown Global Business News

In view of the rapid spread of coronavirus, the Government of India has issued a travel advisory for all air passengers traveling to and from India. All visas, including the visa-free travel facility granted to OCI card holders, is suspended until April 15th, 2020. The only exception is that people with diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations, employment, and project visas will be allowed in the country, subject to health screening at port of entry.

U.S. businesses having operations in India, and/or planning trips to India for projects, may have to revisit their travel plans and explore other strategies for staying connected to their operations in India through remote technology and other means.
