Kegler Brown’s Creditors’ Rights + Bankruptcy and Litigation Practices Add New Director

Attorney Maria Mariano Guthrie has joined Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter as a Director in the firm’s Creditor’s Rights + Bankruptcy and Litigation practice areas.

Maria has been in private practice for over 20 years, most of which has focused on creditors’ rights, commercial foreclosures and receiverships, bankruptcy litigation, and a wide-range of other business and real estate litigation matters.

As part of her Creditor’s Rights + Bankruptcy practice, Maria represents clients in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of both the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, and is also involved in litigation related to breaches of representations and warranties stemming from the sale of commercial mortgage-backed securities. She also assists clients by utilizing her experience and insight into issues such as collections, garnishments, loan documentation, out-of-court workouts and relief from stay concerns.

Along with bankruptcy litigation, Maria’s considerable experience also includes representing large retail clients, financial institutions and a variety of businesses and individuals in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, probate litigation, premises liability defense, products liability defense, shareholder litigation and general business litigation.

Maria received her Juris Doctor from Capital University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University.
