Pump the Brakes: The Supreme Court Halts OSHA’s Vax-or-Test Rule

If you feel whiplashed, you’re not alone. On Monday, OSHA’s rule went into effect requiring employers with more than 100 employees to at least begin compliance with its vaccine and testing requirements. But today, the Supreme Court issued a temporary stay, once again halting enforcement of the rule.

In a separate opinion, the Court allowed CMS’s vaccine mandate to take effect, which requires shots for most employees working in covered facilities that receive Medicare or Medicaid funding.
