Biography

Mike brings more than 20 years of aerospace engineering experience to his IP practice, with a focus on patent preparation, prosecution, procurement and litigation. In addition to this role, which he has held since 2017, Mike also works in regulatory compliance for Honeywell International. Prior to earning his J.D., Mike worked as an engineer at Grimes Aerospace, a subsidiary of Honeywell.

Intellectual Property

Mike advises clients on their comprehensive IP issues, including patent portfolio development, risk management, patent and trademark infringement analysis, enforcement and defense, validity and enforcement issues, patentability analysis, freedom-to-operate analysis, innovation ideation, trademark procurement, and copyright and licensing matters. His transactional experience is similarly diverse and he represents clients in drafting, negotiating and enforcing agreements related to asset purchases and strategic alliances, sponsored research, joint development, confidentiality, co-existence, and technology licensing.

IP Litigation

An experienced trial attorney, Mike represents clients in all forms of intellectual property litigation, including patent enforcement and infringement defense, trademark litigation and procurement, copyright enforcement and the negotiation of a variety of licenses and agreements that involve intellectual property.
