Jessica Skelly, Associate

Jessica focuses her practice primarily in the areas of intellectual property, corporate law, emerging businesses, and mergers and acquisitions. She joined Kegler Brown in 2020 after clerking for the firm as a law school summer associate.

Intellectual Property

Jessica assists clients with a variety of intellectual property issues, including trademark and copyright use, license drafting and negotiation, and implementation of trade secret protection procedures and other safeguards for intellectual property assets.

Corporate Law + Emerging Businesses

Counseling both new and established businesses, Jessica advises clients in matters related to entity formation and structure, corporate governance, franchising, licensing and succession strategies. She assists clients with contract drafting and negotiation in a variety of business matters, including operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, service agreements, licensing agreements, and confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements.

Franchising

Jessica also works with business owners on franchise matters helping them navigate federal and state compliance obligations for establishing, offering, purchasing and selling franchised businesses.
