Tom Pannett brought both insight and inspiration to this year’s Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference (OTEC), where he served on a panel Tuesday and closed out the event as the final speaker.
In a fitting grand finale, Tom explored the intersection of ancient philosophy and modern engineering ethics, challenging attendees to think beyond technical solutions and consider the deeper ethical foundations of their work.
OTEC 2025’s theme, Preparing for the Future, calls on transportation professionals to pursue bold, lasting improvements. Tom’s presentation reminded us that sometimes, the boldest ideas come from the oldest sources.
