Ted McKinniss Honored for 50 Years of Legal Service in Marion
Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter is proud to celebrate Ted McKinniss and his 50 years of practicing law in Marion, Ohio – a milestone that reflects both a remarkable legal career and a lifelong connection to the community. A Marion native and Harding High School graduate, Ted has spent decades building relationships and serving clients in the place he’s always called home.
Since beginning his practice in 1976, Ted has worked closely with individuals, businesses, and community leaders across the region. His legal guidance has supported everything from local business growth to major economic development efforts, including industrial projects and infrastructure that have helped shape Marion’s future.
Ted’s impact extends well beyond his legal work. He has been a familiar and trusted presence in the community for years, including nearly three decades on the Marion City Board of Education, where he’s helped guide important school improvements. He’s also been actively involved with the Marion Rotary Club, the Marion Community Foundation, and the Marion Civil Service Commission, among many other local organizations.
On May 6, 2026, the Marion County Bar Association gathered colleagues, friends, and community members for a reception at the Marion County Administration Building to recognize Ted and fellow local attorney Ron Cramer for reaching 50 years in the practice of law. The event was a celebration of not just longevity, but the lasting relationships and contributions both have made.
Ted’s 50-year milestone is a reflection of more than just time in practice – it’s a testament to the trust he’s built, the work he’s done, and the community he’s helped strengthen along the way. At Kegler Brown and throughout Marion, his legacy continues to be felt every day.
