Kegler Brown Welcomes New Attorney

Kegler Brown is excited to announce the addition of government service and transportation industry veteran Tom Pannett to the firm’s team of attorneys.

With more than two decades of experience working to advance Ohio’s economy through leadership roles in the Ohio Department of Transportation, Tom is now of counsel with the firm and is focusing his practice in the areas of construction, real estate, litigation, and issues involving state and local governments. Tom has an MBA and is also a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and a Certified Public Purchasing Officer.

As the newest member of Kegler Brown’s Construction and Real Estate teams, Tom brings to the firm’s clients his extensive experience in Ohio’s heavy highway industry, developed during his long tenure with ODOT. Throughout his career, Tom has worked in a multitude of capacities, including as a transportation engineer, as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel, and most recently as the Administrator for the Office of Contract Sales and Estimating, focusing on contracting and procurement on Ohio’s largest transportation projects. In addition to his time with ODOT, he spent four years as an assistant attorney general in the Transportation section of the Ohio Attorney General’s office.

Tom will also be contributing to the firm’s trial practice, representing clients in all forms of commercial and civil disputes, including personal injury litigation.

He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University College of Engineering, earned his law degree from Capital University Law School, and received an MBA from Franklin University.
