With almost 30 years of experience in the legal profession, Brook is an essential team member of the Kegler Brown Probate & Trust Administration, Creditors Rights & Bankruptcy, Workers Compensation and Litigation practice areas. She is skilled in various local, state, and federal courts with extensive knowledge of ECF/PACER and e-filing in local courts. 

She manages case files and dockets; regularly communicates with clients, creditors, and court officials to gather required documentation; stays informed on current changes in laws and regulations; coordinates with attorneys on case progress, prepares various legal documents; performs legal research; and ensures confidentiality of all firm-client privileged information.

Probate

Brook provides support in our probate and trust administration practice, working with clients for fact analysis and collection of information, preparation and filing of estate administration documents, federal estate tax returns, and necessary real estate documents, as well as tracking and meeting court deadlines, and communicating with fiduciaries and their families to keep them updated throughout the administration process.

Creditors’ Rights + Bankruptcy

Along with her affiliation with the CBA debtors’ rights through legal aid pro-bono bankruptcies, Brook also provides assistance in our creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice. She has extensive experience in general litigation, adversary proceedings, collections and foreclosures, and in assisting a bankruptcy Trustee with the identification, recovery and distribution of estate assets.

Workers’ Compensation

In the area of workers’ compensation, Brook assists clients throughout the administration claim and appeal process. She gathers and compiles information in preparation for litigation, and monitors deadlines and submissions to the Industrial Commission of Ohio.
