Kegler Brown Welcomes Beryl Brown Piccolantonio to Our Public Law and Labor + Employment Team

Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter is pleased to announce that Beryl Brown Piccolantonio has joined the firm as Of Counsel in our Public Law and Labor + Employment practice groups. Beryl brings to the team over two decades of experience in labor relations, education, and public service.

Beryl Brown Piccolantonio is an accomplished attorney and State Representative for Ohio's 4th House District. With over 20 years of experience in labor relations and public service, she has held key roles in Ohio's legal and administrative sectors.

Her professional journey includes significant roles within the state of Ohio, such as presiding over administrative hearings for the Industrial Commission, directing labor relations for the Office of Human Resources, and serving as chief ombudsperson for Ohio’s workers’ compensation system. Beryl’s practice now focuses on Public and School Law, including the Ohio “Sunshine Law”, educational compliance, and Public Records compliance. She is also experienced and well-versed in the Ohio public sector Collective Bargaining process.

In addition to her legal career, Beryl is an active member of her community. As a former board member on both the Gahanna-Jefferson and Eastland-Fairfield School Boards, Beryl was proud to serve as President, advocating for high-quality education for all students. She has also served on the board of the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (“Mock Trial program”), the Kids Voting Central Ohio board, the Breathing Association board (fka Central Ohio Lung Association), the League of Women Voters, and the Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation.

Beryl holds a B.A. from Ohio Dominican University and earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
