Kegler Brown Global Business Leader Appointed to International Trademark Association Committee

December 12, 2025

Vinita Mehra, Kegler Brown director and leader of its Global Business and Global Education practices, has been appointed to the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Academic Committee for INTA’s 2026-2027 Committee Term.

The Academic Committee, part of INTA’s Resources Group, advances the association’s academic engagement by identifying opportunities to strengthen legal education and career development in trademark and related fields. It is responsible for developing and implementing “benefits, services, and programming for students, professors, and academic institutions within the global IP community,” according to the committee’s official description.

As a committee member, Vinita will help guide the development of content, coordination of speakers, organization of programming at INTA events and academic institutions, and more.

Through her comprehensive global business practice, Vinita regularly counsels U.S. and international clients in the proactive protection and enforcement of their IP assets and in complying with global IP laws, and works closely with international companies across industries, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer goods, and other sectors.

Similarly, in her global education practice, Vinita has accumulated significant experience partnering with university and college leadership and counsel on matters of cross-border IP management.

“Vinita is a fantastic choice to join INTA’s Academic Committee,” said Jeff Nein, chair of Kegler Brown’s Intellectual Property practice. “With her experience engaging with trademark and other IP matters around the globe, the committee and its programming will benefit tremendously from her involvement, and therefore so will INTA’s members.”

Over 4,000 INTA members applied to serve on committees. Vinita’s appointment goes into effect on January 1, 2026, and lasts through December 31, 2027.
