Homage Wins ACG Columbus’s 2024 “Deal of the Year”
The Columbus Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, the global community for middle-market M&A dealmakers and business leaders, held its 2024 Annual Networking and Awards Event on October 24. As the highlight of the evening, ACG Columbus awarded its prestigious “Deal of the Year” honor to HOMAGE for its strategic growth investment from Maximum Effort Investments, LLC, the investment firm co-founded by Ryan Reynolds.
Kegler Brown was proud to serve as counsel to HOMAGE on this landmark deal, which will fuel HOMAGE’s continued growth.
Maximum Effort Investments served as the lead investor for HOMAGE’s Series A capital raise, which will allow the company to expand production capacity, grow its operating team, invest in technology, and broaden its licensing business with new and existing partnerships.
Through the investment, a representative of Maximum Effort Investments has joined the HOMAGE board of directors and Maximum Effort will contribute a variety of strategic and creative resources.
Founded in 2007, HOMAGE and its founders have worked with the emerging business lawyers at Kegler Brown to establish the company as the premier vintage-inspired apparel brand in the U.S., forging licensing deals with the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, WNBA, NCAA, WWE, and more.
Kegler Brown has served as general counsel to HOMAGE and its founders since the company’s inception and will continue to advise its leadership team on growth strategy, IP development, licensing deals, global strategy, and future transactions.
2024 marks the second consecutive year that Kegler Brown’s deal team has advised ACG Columbus’s “Deal of the Year” honoree in its featured transaction, following the recognition of Palmer-Donavin’s acquisition of Diamond Hill Plywood in 2023.
