1L Students
As a 1L, it’s important to start getting a feel for what it means to be a lawyer. Law School is great for theory, but as a Summer Associate at Kegler Brown, you’ll get hands-on experience in different practice areas and a feel for working in our firm.
Our Summers work with other associates and directors on real projects and client matters with tasks they can handle – you don’t just sit in an office doing busy work.
You don’t have to know everything at the beginning. We want our Summer Associates to get experience in practice areas, see what they like or don’t like, and use this time to help find their direction.
Kegler Brown’s culture is about collaboration, and that includes with our Summers. We work as a team, and you will be treated as part of that team, because Summer Associates are the foundation our firm’s future is built on.
Every day of the week, you’re crafting your summer. You’re getting to know the other Summers, working on projects that help attorneys with client matters, planning the community service project, or something else that beats whatever your friends are doing.
