Traveling to Las Vegas to present to the Akron Bar Association on May 18 as part of their 25th Workers' Comp Seminar, Dave focused on the topic of voluntary abandonment. He detailed the issue and its origins, siting cases that both set the precedent and expanded on it. With a wealth of cases as examples, he explained related issues, such as employees going to prison, changing jobs, and re-employment after a voluntary abandonment. Dave went into further detail by exploring dischargeable conduct both before and after an injury, simultaneous with injury and while working with restrictions.
