Presenting with Michael Pfahl, associate counsel at Kent State University, Vinita spoke on April 25 as part of the Ohio Attorney General’s Annual Conference for Public and University Attorneys. Their presentation focused on the foundations for international operations and used anecdotal scenarios to illustrate issues related to the hiring process, payroll, consultants and online courses. They also explored core considerations for international engagements, including regulatory approvals, forms of contract and tax implications, and explained issues with advanced models, such as consultants, online courses and institutional partners, and many more.
