Answer:

Kegler Brown has a long history of commitment to Diversity + Inclusion. We are a charter member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Managing Partners’ Diversity Initiative, have long supported community organizations that promote diversity in the legal field, and have awarded Diversity Scholarships to law students since 2004.

Our Diversity + Inclusion Committee has recently renewed its focus, with a fresh perspective, on our engagement with community diversity advocacy organizations and law student recruiting.

In addition, we have implemented several new initiatives, including launching internal education + engagement campaigns, promoting the firm’s use of diverse vendors, career development planning focused on retaining our diverse firm members, and revamping our lateral recruiting processes to be more intentional about recruiting diverse talent.

We have also recently restructured the Diversity + Inclusion Committee in order to increase its engagement with all firm members and to encourage broader participation with the Committee and its initiatives.

Not only are we continuing our work on all of the above, but we also have much more planned for 2020, including creating a diversity-in-leadership pipeline, hosting community events, and implementing an inclusive, firm-wide mentorship program.
