Stiltner + Schottenstein Selected to Lead Kegler Brown’s Real Estate + Finance Practice

Kegler Brown is pleased to announce that Jeff Stiltner and Michael Schottenstein have been selected to co-lead the firm’s heralded Real Estate + Finance practice group.

Stiltner, a director who has been with the firm since 2008, advises clients on a wide range of real estate matters, including assisting a variety of retail and restaurant businesses with their commercial leasing. In addition, Jeff maintains a general corporate and business practice with a focus on privately held businesses and has a focus on tax issues affecting individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations.

Schottenstein, a director now in his tenth year with the firm, advises investors, developers and other business owners in the acquisition, development, disposition, leasing and financing of residential and commercial properties. Michael also counsels clients in every aspect of business, including contract drafting and negotiation, business formation and structuring, and tax.

Real estate and finance veteran attorney Allen Handlan, who has led the practice group for many years, is looking forward to continuing to work closely with and advising clients, as well as supporting Stiltner and Schottenstein in their new roles. Under Handlan’s leadership, the firm’s practice group has grown in size, sophistication, and service offering, and has become known as one of the most respected, service-focused legal teams in Central Ohio.

“Jeff and Michael have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities throughout their respective careers, while continuously providing the highest quality of legal services to our clients,” said Handlan. “We are very excited to have Jeff and Michael transition into this important leadership role and oversee the group’s client service delivery, as well as the critical aspects of training and developing our other outstanding lawyers.”
