Marotta Appointed to OSBA Wellness Advisory Board

Robert D. Marotta, of counsel with Kegler Brown and former Senior Vice President and Chief Regulatory Counsel at WebMD Health Corporation, has been appointed to serve on the Ohio State Bar Association’s Wellness Advisory Board for a one-year term. In this role, Marotta will contribute his considerable healthcare experience and perspective to the Association as it works to create and curate wellness resources for Ohio’s bar community.

Marotta presently serves as Chairperson Emeritus of the eHealth Initiative (“eHI”), a Washington, D.C., organization whose mission is to drive improvement in the quality, safety and efficiency of health care through information and information technology (www.ehealthinitiative.org). His civic involvement also includes contributions to the Franklin County Opiate Action Plan Corporate Advisory Council, the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, the Columbus Academy, Ohio Northern University, and the University of Notre Dame.

His other professional experience includes serving as the Senior Vice President – Regulatory Counsel of Merck-Medco Managed Care, L.L.C., a division of Merck & Co., Inc., now known as Express Scripts, an independent public company. In May 2000, Marotta was awarded Merck-Medco’s inaugural “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his distinguished service to the company and commitment to patient care.
