Kegler Brown Welcomes Two Former Summer Associates as New Attorneys

Kegler Brown is proud to announce the addition of attorneys Makiah Harper and Peter Stoecklein to the firm.

Makiah was a summer associate for Kegler Brown in 2020 and 2021. Peter was also a summer associate with the firm in 2021.

Makiah will focus her practice in the areas of corporate law, M+A, and matters related to franchising. She will work with both emerging and established businesses, offering legal counsel regarding entity, business formation and tax structuring, as well as contract drafting and negotiation strategy. Makiah received her Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law earlier this year after graduating from Butler University in Indianapolis in 2019 with a B.A. in Human Communication and Organizational Leadership.

Peter joins Kegler Brown’s litigation practice with a broad focus on areas that include commercial, construction, employment and personal injury disputes. Peter will be providing counsel to clients through all stages of the litigation process with a calm and measured style that encourages better results by balancing cooperation with dedicated representation. A graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, he received his Juris Doctorate earlier this year after receiving a B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University in 2019.
