Kegler Brown Selects New Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committee Chair

Kegler Brown is excited to announce the appointment of Andrew Doup as chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committee.

A first-generation college graduate, Filipino-American, and decorated combat veteran, Andrew takes special interest in identifying generational changes in the law, imagining how they can improve the well-being of clients, colleagues, and the community, and leading collaborative efforts across a diverse group of stakeholders to make these ideas a reality. He advises founders of new and emerging businesses, real estate developers, fund managers, and private investors on how to organize and invest into the next generation of business ideas through private equity, venture capital, and real estate syndications.

“We are excited to have Andrew driving innovation strategies focused on our culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” said Chris Weber, Kegler Brown’s managing director. “He will be coordinating the firm’s first-ever effort to achieve Mansfield Certification, which is a rigorous national certification program designed to improve the rate that historically underrepresented lawyers -whether based on gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or LGBTQ+ identity- are considered for equity partner promotions, hires, client pitches, and leadership positions.

The Kegler Brown Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committee aims to create an environment that reflects the diversity of culture, thought, and background of the community in which we work and live. We strive to foster an inclusive culture where every person is empowered to freely share their ideas, experiences, and beliefs. And we work to acknowledge and address unique backgrounds and needs to provide a level playing field and equal opportunities for success. Learn more here.
