Kegler Brown Honored with Pro Bono Award

Kegler Brown has been honored with the 2018 Pro Bono Award for Outstanding Service by a Law Firm or Corporation.

Jointly announced by The Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC), Columbus Bar Association (CBA), and Columbus Bar Foundation (CBF), the award will be presented at the 2018 Pro Bono Reception during the ABA National Pro Bono Celebration Week at the Columbus Bar Association on Thursday, October 25th.

“Programs like the LASC’s Tenant Advocacy Project and Bankruptcy Program are critical to many people overcoming barriers that could otherwise be devastating,” says Kegler Brown director Christy Prince, herself a past recipient of the “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by an Individual” award.

“It’s both an honor and a responsibility to use the tools of our profession to help clients maintain family stability and achieve a fresh start.”

Kegler Brown has been involved with the LASC’s Bankruptcy Pro Bono Program and Tenant Advocacy Project since it began in early 2017.

Attorneys interested in more information on how to get involved in any of the LASC’s programs, should visit the LASC’s website, or contact Pro Bono Coordinator Dianna Parker Howie at [email protected].
