Kegler Brown Government Affairs Team Grows With Addition of Advisor

Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter is pleased to announce the addition of Government Affairs Advisor Mike Culp to the firm’s Government Affairs team.

As a Government Affairs Advisor, Mike advocates for clients on legislative, regulatory and other issues that impact their business, educating them on processes and assisting them in matters such as testifying before committees, meeting with legislators, preparing for community events and more.

Mike has extensive experience with the legislative and executive branches of Ohio’s state government and has worked in various roles, including as a lobbyist for Gov. Ted Strickland and as Executive Director of the Ohio Democratic Party.

Most recently, Mike served as Chief of Staff for Mayor Tim DeGeeter of Parma, Ohio. Previously, he managed the Columbus office of a public affairs and strategic communications firm.

“Having someone like Mike join of our team is exciting,” said Steve Tugend, chair of Kegler Brown’s Government Affairs practice. “Our clients will be able to see the benefits of having someone with his knowledge, experience and effort working on their behalf.”

A native of Tiffin, Ohio, Mike is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. Prior to his work in politics and government, he was a statehouse reporter for Gannett News Service.
