Attorney Honored with Community Service Award
November 4, 2013Vinita Mehra was awarded the Columbus International Festival Central Ohio Community Service Award on November 2 at the Parade of Nations.
The Columbus International Festival maintains a tradition of bringing together the diverse cultural community in central Ohio and 2013 marks the festival’s 58th year. Vinita has been actively involved in several community organizations and initiatives, that focus on both local and global issues.
As a believer in Gandhi’s idea of “being the change you want to see in the world,” Vinita is devoted to several leadership roles throughout the city, including, but not limited to, as a board member for the Asian Indian American Business Group, an executive committee member for Columbus Sister Cities International, a volunteer for the anti-domestic violence group for ASHA Ray of Hope, and a volunteer for the Federation of Indian Associations.
