Andrew Doup Honored Among Forty Under 40 in Columbus

Columbus Business First announced the Class of 2022 for its 30th annual “Forty under 40” honors, which showcases the region’s best and brightest young leaders.

Andrew Doup, a decorated combat veteran and legal counsel to business innovators, was among those selected.

This year’s selection process received more than 200 applications by which candidates were judged on their career accomplishments, volunteer activity, community impact, and letters of recommendation, among other factors.

Andrew advises founders of new and emerging businesses, real estate developers, fund managers, and private investors in central Ohio. He focuses his practice on private investment finance, where he advises clients on how to organize and invest into the next generation of Columbus-based business ideas through private equity, venture capital, and real estate syndications.

Andrew has served on the firm’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion committee for several years, contributing to the firm’s efforts to lower barriers of entry and provide support for underrepresented people in business and the law. He also serves on the board of directors of the Columbus Fashion Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of making Columbus a national destination for creatives and fashion-based businesses.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Andrew served as a military intelligence officer supporting joint special operations worldwide, including humanitarian and counter-terrorism missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Libya, and the Horn of Africa. He continues his military service on a part-time basis at the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, Columbus, where he is currently assigned to the office of the Inspector General.

The Columbus Business First “Forty Under 40” program honors Central Ohio’s most outstanding young professionals and will recognize their achievements at an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel.
