Biography
Humphrey focuses his practice primarily in the areas of global business, corporate law, real estate financing, and creditors’ rights. He joined Kegler Brown in 2021.
Global Business + Corporate Law
In order to meet their business needs, organizations work with Humphrey to develop, implement and evaluate corporate strategies. Humphrey advises clients on establishing corporate entities abroad and growing their global presence. He assists with the negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements between U.S. companies and foreign companies, including the inherent privacy and data security implications, and advises businesses in their corporate mergers, project financing, and foreign investment. He also assists clients with obtaining licenses, navigating export control regulations, and understanding OFAC compliance.
Commercial Lending + Real Estate Financing
Humphrey represents borrowers, lenders, investors, and developers of all sizes in a wide range of financing transactions, including real estate acquisition financing, construction and permanent financing, affordable housing transactions, inventory and accounts receivable financing, and a wide variety of other asset-based loans.
Creditors’ Rights + Commercial Collections
With experience in assisting creditors in navigating the challenges of collection, Humphrey leverages his talents and experience in issues including commercial debt collections, garnishments, foreclosures, executions, receiverships, and more.
