GDPR is Coming! Are You Ready?

On Thursday, May 24th (the day before GDPR went into effect), our Privacy + Data Security chairs hosted a panel discussion about the new regulations in order to help businesses be ready, and to help with compliance going forward.
With the GDPR’s broad implications for EU and U.S.-based businesses, this seminar was a last chance to learn about the breadth of its application before it went into effect on May 25th. Our global business attorneys, along with experts from GBQ, provided an overview of GDPR including steps to take to gain compliance, an understanding of consent and the right to be forgotten, and the requirements for breach notification and incident response, and took time to answer questions from those in attendance.
