Top 5 Issues Affecting the HR Profession in Ohio

On April 19, 2017, Tony Fiore presented to the Tuscora Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on the topic of the top issues affecting Ohio's HR professionals. In this presentation, he took a comprehensive look at advocacy/politics; 2016's lasting effects; employment and labor laws; unemployment compensation; and federal appointments/issues, healthcare and workplace flexibility. Tony utilized numerical data to go into detail about changes in legislation, both state and federal, new members of committees that could affect further changes, as well as their possible effects, making it clear why these are issues with which HR professionals in Ohio need to be concerned.
