Protecting Your Business’ Secrets in the Modern Era

Kegler Brown

Are your company’s trade secrets protected from the public? Do you know the steps needed to keep your company’s secrets protected?

With the passing of the Defend Trade Secrets Act earlier this year, it is important to understand what this means for your company’s trade secrets and intellectual property as a whole.

Please join us for a breakfast briefing hosted by our Intellectual Property and Labor + Employment lawyers on Tuesday, August 16, starting at 8:30 a.m. This morning session will discuss a variety of topics related to protecting your business secrets in the modern era.

Speakers

Jeff Nein will identify what a trade secret is and some methods that companies have to protect their intellectual property. He will also discuss the recently enacted Defend Trade Secrets Act and provide action steps employers should implement to maximize protection under the new Act.

Brendan Feheley will discuss the importance of contractual language that protects your intellectual property, both internally in contracts with employees and externally in contracts with vendors and contractors.

Steve Barsotti will discuss how effective trade secret protection fits into any company’s broader intellectual property strategy.

Please register by Tuesday, August 9, by contacting Maura Fortino, [email protected] or (614) 255-5515. Space is limited to the first 50 registrants.
