  • Recent Developments: Advisory Opinions + Attorney Discipline
    presented by Shana B. DeMooy
    In this segment, Shana will cover recent developments and discuss new advisory opinions published in 2021 coming down from Ohio’s Board of Professional Conduct.
  • Decision Points: A Review of Recent Ethics Rulings
    presented by Chris Weber
    Chris will review key cases that underscore our ethical obligations and discuss common pitfalls to avoid.
  • Ethics in a Social Media World
    presented by Chris Weber
    Chris will provide a guide to correctly using social media professionally; examine dos and don’ts of advertising, relationships and confidentiality issues; and explore problems specific to the most commonly used social media sites, with examples of errors other lawyers have made from around the country.
  • Oh, $h*t! I Got a Grievance
    presented by Shana B. DeMooy
    Shana will examine the Ohio Disciplinary Court process and walk guests through the steps required to file a grievance and outline what happens once a grievance is filed.
  • Ethical Responsibilities Regarding Non-Lawyer Assistants
    presented by Chris Weber
    Chris will address appropriate instruction and supervision of non-attorney professional staff and review the ethical aspects of their employment.
