17th Annual Professional Responsibility Seminar

Kegler Brown's much-anticipated, annual seminar on professional responsibility will take place on Friday, October 17, at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square. Join us, starting at 8:30 a.m., for this well-regarded, half-day seminar focused on providing Ohio's lawyers and judges with timely information regarding ethics and professionalism.
A hot breakfast will be served to all attendees.

9:15 a.m. – Lawyers and Criminal Conduct; Michael Miller + Rasheeda Khan
Michael and Rasheeda will discuss trends and recent developments involving lawyers who have been charged or convicted with criminal offenses. They'll also look at how the disciplinary system treats lawyers who have been convicted and what happens to lawyers once the criminal case is over.
9:45 a.m. – Ethical Concerns for In-house Counsel; Chris Weber
Chris will include tips to assist in-house counsel in navigating the ethical/professional boundaries in the complex corporate environment, including attorney-client privilege, conflicts, competency and outsourcing services.

10:30 a.m. – Toe the Line: Breeding a Culture of Confidentiality; Jonathan Coughlan
Jonathan's segment will examine some unique, but not infrequent, confidentiality issues lawyers may face, such as concurrent clients, client fraud and reporting up the chain in a corporate setting.
11:15 a.m. – Lawyers Gone Wild: Online Edition; Jason Beehler + Kailee Goold
Jason and Kailee will discuss recent cases and professional considerations for lawyers who have, or plan to have, a presence on social media.
