Biography

Mike uses his nearly two decades of experience working in Ohio’s local and state governments, politics, and public affairs to provide clients with advocacy on issues important to their goals. He joined Kegler Brown in 2020.

Mike has worked in various roles throughout the legislative and executive branches of Ohio’s state government, including as a lobbyist for Gov. Ted Strickland, and his experience in the political arena includes serving as Executive Director of the Ohio Democratic Party. Most recently, Mike served as Chief of Staff for Mayor Tim DeGeeter of Parma, Ohio, the state’s seventh-largest city, and previously managed the Columbus office of a public affairs and strategic communications firm.

With his unique insight and familiarity with Ohio’s governmental and political systems, Mike provides clients with practical guidance and constructive analysis related to important legislative issues and advocates on their behalf to legislators, committees and other interested parties.
