Community Involvement

In 2009, Kegler Brown established its Annual Giving Initiative to formalize its commitment to charitable causes focused on our local communities. Each year, we endow a significant donation to benefit a cause we care about. 2023

LifeCare Alliance, a nationally recognized nonprofit founded in 1898, annually serves nearly 30,000 Ohioans. Committed to inclusivity, they assist individuals facing challenges stemming from medical conditions, disabilities, and aging in place. Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, LifeCare Alliance's compassionate team restores hope, stability, and independence to those in need.

2022

Pelotonia was established in 2008 with the objective to fund innovative cancer research. Through its year-round fundraising efforts and its generous funding partners, Pelotonia directs 100% of every dollar raised by its community to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

Hope Clinic provides basic, sound, quality medical and dental care, at no cost, to those who have no health insurance in a climate that is accepting, authentic, and inviting. Hope Clinic opened the Charitable Pharmacy in hopes to give all members of the community access to quality medical care.

Columbus Urban League is Central Ohio’s leader in the racial and economic equity movement. Their efforts are helping our community better understand and address the long-standing racial inequities in healthcare, housing, education, jobs, and justice that have been exposed and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Our SleevesTM offers hope to the one in five children living with mental health issues. Through advocacy, education, and fundraising, this national movement from Nationwide Children’s Hospital is breaking the silence surrounding children’s mental health.

2018

St. Vincent Family Center provides pediatric behavioral health care services to more than 5,000 families a year. With their mission to help children and families succeed at home, school, and in life, St. Vincent makes good kids better.

2017

Flying Horse Farms in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, creates magical, transformative camp experiences for children and their families – free of charge. They welcome about 900 kids, ages 8-17, each year, helping them spread their wings and giving them a sense of belonging.

2016

Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana has granted over 15,000 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1983. Granting wishes fills kids with hope, strength, and joy. It helps recharge their fighting spirit and think about the future, delivering hope right now to the kids, their families, and the communities they live in.

2015

The Salvation Army of Central Ohio’s Holiday Cheer program provides food and gifts to more than 6,000 families in need each holiday season. This program has been operating for decades and is the largest holiday distribution program of food and gifts in central Ohio.

The Columbus Center for Human Services promotes positive community roles for individuals with disabilities. Our friends at the CCHS deliver an extraordinary experience for its wheelchair-bound stakeholders by greatly expanding access to its most popular program- the Sensory Room.

2013

Heart of the City Foundation provides free support for essential services through a variety of initiatives. One such service, Manna Café, provides meals for more than 9,000 people in need each year- nearly all of them are homeless. A safe haven that welcomes all, Manna Café embodies the mission of Heart of the City Foundation and we were honored to partner with them.

2012

The South Side Learning + Development Center has been serving families in Franklin County for nearly 80 years. Early childhood development services are offered to families with a real need for child care, especially for children whose parents are in training for full-time employment. Their mission is critical and their people are incredible.

2011

One of the most well-known charitable causes in Central Ohio, Pilot Dogs has become synonymous with the vibrant Columbus non-profit scene. The good people at this charity provide service animals to nearly 200 visually impaired individuals every year. In fact, our puppy, KB, is probably out on a walk with someone right now.

Few causes hit as close to home for our firm as CASA of Franklin County. These court-appointed special advocates serve the most at-risk and severe cases of child abuse and neglect in the community. CASA's vision is to ensure that every abused and neglected child has a powerful and consistent voice in court; our mission is to continue supporting this great cause.

Because lifelong learning is critical to our community's future, Kegler Brown's first annual donation was given to the Columbus Metropolitan Library in support of its nationally acclaimed summer reading program. Our community has a vested interest in the success of our most valued learning centers and we were honored to play a small part for the library.
