City of Columbus to Prequalify Bidders + Subcontractors

Beginning January 1, 2015, only bidders prequalified as "responsible" by the City of Columbus will be eligible to be awarded city construction contracts. In addition, licensed trade contractors (heating, ventilating and air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, hydronics, fire protection or fire equipment) will need to be prequalified to perform subcontract work on these city jobs.
The application process for prequalification is underway and applications must be in by October 31, 2014, to be eligible for 2015 work. These prequalification applications must be submitted on an annual basis.
