18th Annual Professional Responsibility Seminar

Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square

Kegler Brown's annual seminar on professional responsibility will take place on Friday, October 16, at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square. Join us, starting at 8:30 a.m., for this well-regarded, half-day seminar focused on providing Ohio's lawyers and judges with timely information regarding ethics and professionalism.

A hot breakfast will be served to all attendees.

9:15 a.m. – Oh *!?#@, I Got a Grievance: Attorney Discipline in Ohio; Jonathan E. Coughlan

Jonathan will examine the Ohio Disciplinary Court process and walk guests through the steps of filing a grievance and what happens when a grievance is filed.

10:15 a.m. – Break

10:30 a.m. – Oh *!?#@, I Have Someone Else’s Privileged Information; Chris Weber

Chris will provide attendees with tips to assist when in receipt of a third person’s privileged information.

11:15 a.m. – Known Unknowns: Advising Clients with Diminished Capacity; Jason Beehler

Inspired by the recently published novel Go Set a Watchman (prequel to Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird), Jason will discuss the ethical rules that apply when advising a client with ailing mental capacity and the ethical implications of engaging in business transactions with clients.
