Throughout her career, Beverly has been working closely with elected members of the Ohio legislature and with the state’s executive agency officials to manage organizations and to drive operational efficiencies. For our government affairs team, she serves as a key liaison to staff in local, state and federal government offices, working to effectively communicate client needs and maintain strong relationships. Beverly also serves as the central point of contact for clients and business colleagues of the government affairs practice area at Kegler Brown, working to ensure that communication is delivered and client needs are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Another key aspect of her role at the firm is to monitor key legislation and government updates and to translate those into targeted, customized monthly reports to firm clients.
Beverly has established herself as a respected member of the public sector community, having worked on statewide initiatives for the Ohio Department of Commerce, the Ohio Board of Regents (now the Ohio Department of Higher Education), the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, and the Ohio Expositions Commission. Her experience also includes focusing on specific local initiatives throughout the state while working directly with locally elected representatives in the Ohio House and Senate and also in central Ohio with the Office of the Franklin County Treasurer.
