The
Federal Immigration Service has issued a new I-9 form. All
employers are to start using the new form by December 26, 2007, for
new hires or employment re verifications.
One change is that unless the employer participates in the E-Verify
program, the employee is not required to provide their social security
number. The new form also revises some of the acceptable and unacceptable
supporting documents.
