Turn around is indeed fair play. The EEOC district office in Little Rock, Arkansas has been charged with discriminating against the disabled. Apparently, a hearing-impaired person was scheduled to file a charge with the EEOC. Prior to the intake interview the individual notified the EEOC office that they would require special aids and an interpreter. The EEOC reportedly responded that it was unable to provide the requested services "due to unavailable funds." The Disability Rights Center in Little Rock then filed a written complaint with the EEOC in Washington. Like the cobbler's children who have no shoes, it appears that the EEOC could use some retraining on accommodating people with disabilities.
