Enforcement of the “Red Flags” Rule Delayed Until June 2010

Bowing to Congress, The Federal Trade Commission has delayed the enforcement of the "Red Flags" Rule from November 1, 2009, to June 10, 2010. This delay gives affected creditors an additional period of time in which to measure the risks of identity theft in their operations and then to draft and implement written identity theft prevention programs.
