Remember: In most states, like Ohio, voting in an election takes precedence over work, such that employers must allow employees time off to vote.
In Ohio, employers may not (a) interfere with, (b) discriminate, or (c) retaliate against employees for taking a “reasonable time” to vote. (No minimum or maximum amount is specified.) However, employees do not have to be paid for time taken off to vote.
