Don’t Forget – Another Minimum Wage Hike

Effective January 1, 2012, the minimum wage under Ohio law will increase to $7.70/hour. This applies to every employer in Ohio with more than $283,000 in annual gross revenue. Minimum wage for tipped employees is correspondingly raised to $3.85/hour. View the new wage hour poster (also available on the Ohio Department of Commerce website).

In addition to employees of those with gross revenue under $283,000, employees under age 16 are not entitled to the new minimum wage. In these instances, the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hour applies.
