Jeffrey C. Miller to its Cleveland, Ohio, office to expand its labor and employee relations, corporate and litigation practices. A director with the firm, Miller comes to the firm with more than a decade of experience both in-house, as assistant general counsel at Cleveland-based OM Group, and in counseling clients in Northeast Ohio.
Recognized as an “Ohio Rising Star” by Law and Politics magazine, Miller maintains a practice that focuses primarily on management interests in labor and employment matters, and minimization of legal risk for growing businesses throughout Ohio and the Midwest. Jeff is also an experienced litigator, representing clients in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Texas and in Federal courts.
“Jeff’s experience both as an assistant general counsel with OM Group and his client relationships in Northeast Ohio significantly bolster our firm’s presence in the Cleveland market,” said Michael E. Zatezalo, Kegler Brown’s managing director. “His background in dealing with employee relations, union negotiations, environmental issues, and general business matters provides the perfect complement to our growing Cleveland office.”
Before joining Kegler Brown’s Cleveland office, Miller was a partner with the law office of Johnson, Miller & Schmitz LLP, where he represented businesses in the areas of employment, litigation and transactional matters. Jeff has also previously worked with the law firm of Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur after serving as assistant general counsel for OM Group, a publicly traded specialty chemicals business, for three years.
A member of the Federal Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Miller also serves on the executive and advisory boards of various clients.
Miller received his Juris Doctorate from University of Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
