The Columbus law firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter is pleased to announce that Geoffrey Stern, a director with the firm, has been inducted as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). Stern is a senior member of the firm's litigation group and heads its professional responsibility area.
The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of no more than 3,500 attorneys nationally - less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
Stern, whose father Leonard J. Stern served as a Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, has practiced law in Ohio for 41 years. He served as Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court and National Coordinating Counsel in asbestos litigation for ten years. He has been the recipient of the Columbus Bar Association Liberty Bell Award and is regularly listed in publications like Ohio Super Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in America and others for more than 20 years. He has also served as chair of the state bar association ethics committee and presented more than 400 lectures to lawyers and judges in Ohio, nationally and internationally.
