Sugarman for induction into the Hall of Fame of Leadership Columbus, one of the top five community leadership programs in the country, which provides state-of-the-art education and training for emerging and existing leaders in the Columbus area. Honorees are selected for inclusion in the Hall of Fame for their long-standing dedication to community service efforts and notable contributions to Columbus and Central Ohio.
Sugarman, a director with Kegler Brown, has served as the firm's community service chairman and has become a staple in the Columbus community through his active involvement in numerous service-oriented organizations. Roger currently sits on the board of directors for State Automobile Insurance Co. and the Vanderbilt Alumni Association; is a member of the board of trustees of the Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Columbus Bar Foundation and is a member of the Executive Committees of YMCA of Central Ohio and Temple Israel. His previous community activities have included serving as: past chair of the Board of Trustees of Leadership Columbus; Chairman of the Board of United Way of Central Ohio; immediate past chair of the Community Shelter Board; chair of the Board of Trustees of FIRSTLINK; president of the Athletic Club of Columbus; and as a board member for the Columbus School for Girls.
Sugarman has also been recognized for his professional contributions. He was chosen by his peers as one of Columbus' "Top Lawyers" in Business First's "The Verdict," and has also been honored among The Best Lawyers in America and Ohio Super Lawyers, a function of Law & Politics magazine.
