Sigmund & Wong Halabi Join Firm

Sigmund, Tom headshot The law firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter (Kegler Brown) is proud to announce the addition of attorneys Tom Sigmund and Michelle Wong Halabi to its legal team.

Tom Sigmund has joined Kegler Brown as a director and will serve as chair of the firm's Employee Benefits & ERISA area; he also focuses his practice in matters of estate and business succession planning, taxation, and general business law. Sigmund is a past president and current board member of the Columbus chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and is a member of the governing board of ATHENA PowerLink. He recently served as an adjunct professor in Capital University Law School's LL.M. program in executive compensation and has contributed time in the community through his participation in the Ohio Reads program. Prior to joining Kegler Brown, Sigmund was a partner with the Columbus office of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs.

Sigmund earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree and his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University.

Wong Halabi headshot Michelle Wong Halabi has joined the firm as an associate in the Estate Planning area. She is a member of both the Ohio and California bar associations. Prior to joining Kegler Brown, she practiced estate planning and trust administration with Thom L. Cooper Co., a firm based in Centerburg, Ohio, which specializes in Elder Law.

Wong Halabi graduated magna cum laude from California State University - Sacramento, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She has also earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in Sacramento, and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.
