Women-Owned Business Resources
Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter is no stranger to supporting women in their initiatives and has encouraged growth opportunities for more than a decade through our Women Lawyers’ Initiative. Whether through professional development or client advocacy, you will find the women of Kegler Brown continuously raising the bar in the courtroom, the boardroom and the community. Kegler Brown focuses on supporting professional women so they can provide support to others.
The Center for Women’s Business Research reports that “if U.S. women-owned businesses were their own country, they would have the fifth largest GDP in the world.” We understand and recognize the importance women-owned businesses play in the ever-changing economy.
In addition to understanding the vital role women-owned businesses have in driving our economy, Kegler Brown also recognizes the increasing growth rate of such businesses. In 2011, there were an estimated 8.1 million women-owned businesses in the U.S., employing almost 7.7 million people and generating nearly $1.3 trillion in revenues, according to the American Express Open State of Women-Owned Businesses Report. The report also stated in Ohio alone there were an estimated 395,100 women-owned firms, employing 513,800 people and generating sales of more than $75 million in 2011.
At Kegler Brown, our attorneys have vast knowledge in all aspects of business and understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by businesses owned and run by women. We draw together resources in all of our practice areas to form a team with particular understanding of the issues facing women-owned businesses.
