He continues to represent businesses of all sizes in workplace training, workers’ compensation, labor negotiations in both the public and private sectors, and issues involving harassment, employment contracts, and in defending claims of age, race and gender discrimination.

Jeff serves as outside general counsel to his entrepreneurial and growth-oriented clients, advising them on comprehensive corporate issues from contract review and risk mitigation to management issues and HR compliance.

Stemming from his time as assistant general counsel at a chemical company, Miller has a wealth of litigation and regulatory compliance experience, pertaining primarily to solid waste and construction and demolition debris facilities, brownfield redevelopment, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of management defendant clients in claims of race discrimination, hostile work environment, and retaliation by 14 plaintiffs. Received a post-judgment award of costs, attorney fees, and sanctions in excess of $500,000.00 against plaintiffs and their counsel. - City of Parma and Geis Companies v. Ohio EPA, ERAC 184062 and ERAC 674036
Through a combination of negotiation and litigation, successfully obtained the preferred alternative for clients to fill 22.8 acres of wetlands on a 90-acre site for construction of the 1.4-million-square-foot Parma Industrial Park.
