Aneezal practices primarily in the firm’s securities and corporate governance, governmental and internal investigations, and international business areas, leaning on his experience as former assistant general counsel to Cardinal Health Inc., a $99 billion corporation ranked 17th on the Fortune 500, where he was also a founding board member and counsel of the Cardinal Health Foundation.

Born in Sri Lanka, Aneezal is proficient in both Singhalese and Tamil, languages primarily spoken in south and southeast Asia. He joined Kegler Brown in 2011.

Securities & Corporate Governance
Aneezal focuses on protecting clients in disclosure practices, materiality determination, internal board matters, and treasury and finance matters. He is also well-versed in implementing internal controls and procedures; and compliance-related best practices.

Governmental & Internal Investigations
Aneezal has extensive experience with governmental and internal investigations, including advising committees of the Board of Directors and conducting special investigations, leading and managing internal investigations relating to insider trading, accounting and disclosure issues, responding to SEC inquiries and inquiries by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and managing multiple lawyers and law firms in multi-potential-conflict scenarios in white collar crime investigations.

International Business
As chair of the firm’s Middle East practice, Aneezal offers clients strategic advice to assist them in developing global markets. Aneezal maintains extensive experience in matters involving the FCPA.
