Kegler Brown Welcomes Two Attorneys to the FirmNovember 13, 2013
Kegler, Brown, Hill and Ritter is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys to the firm. Associates Katja Garvey and Ian Labitue are the latest members to join our legal team.
Garvey is a graduate of Juristische Fakultat Law School in Passau, Germany. She brings previous workers’ compensation experience to Kegler Brown and will also be a member of the firm’s renowned global business practice area, focusing on the European market. Fluent in German, Garvey maintains a diverse international background. She will assist clients with global operations with business transactions and will also represent employers in workers’ compensation matters, including administrative hearings and employer depositions. In addition to completing law school in Germany, Garvey graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law with a concentration in business law, receiving her LL.M.
Labitue joined Kegler Brown after practicing in Georgia for several years. He primarily practices in the areas of real estate and banking and lending. Labitue regularly advises clients in a wide range of financing transactions, including syndicated loans and mezzanine financing. He supports real estate owners and developers through complex projects that require counseling on public/private partnerships and the use of mixed financing sources. He also assists clients in corporate matters that include entity selection and drafting of entity documents. Labitue is a graduate of The University of Michigan Law School.
