Addition of Attorney Jim Sammon Expands Firm’s Commitment to Cleveland MarketJanuary 13, 2016
Seasoned attorney James P. Sammon has joined Kegler Brown as a director in its Cleveland office, practicing primarily in the area of business litigation and also representing small and growth-stage businesses in corporate matters. Jim began his career as a judicial law clerk for Judge Donald Nugent and previously practiced with other corporate firms in northeast Ohio, including Reminger Co. LPA, before joining Kegler Brown.
“The expansion of our Cleveland office is a key part of our firm’s strategic growth plan,” said the firm’s managing director, Mike Zatezalo. “Jim’s experience both as a trial attorney and respected business lawyer, in addition to his reputation in the Cleveland community, makes him a perfect fit for our firm.”
Sammon, who has spent his entire legal career working with individuals and businesses in Cleveland, has built a diverse business and litigation practice, which also includes significant work in the areas of attorney ethics and personal injury litigation. He also spends time working on community-based charitable initiatives, including in his role as president of The Michael D. Symon Foundation and through his volunteer work with the local chapter of Autism Speaks.
“Jim’s longtime northeast Ohio roots and his commitment to the Cleveland nonprofit community will make him a great addition not only to the firm’s practice, but also to its dynamic culture,” said Jamie Pingor, partner in charge of Kegler Brown’s Cleveland office.
Sammon received his law degree in 1994 from Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall School of Law and is an alumnus of both Miami University (1991) and St. Edward High School in Lakewood (1987).
