Kegler Brown Announces Selection
of Firm Directors

The law firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter (Kegler Brown)
is proud to announce the selection of Mary F. Brenning, Traci A.
McGuire, Élise D. Spriggs and Eric B. Travers to serve as
firm directors.
Mary
F. Brenning, who has been with the firm for six years, has been
named as a firm director practicing in the areas of Banking &
Commercial Lending, Business, Tax & Securities and Real Estate
& Financing; her primary focus is on commercial transactions,
real estate and the Uniform Commercial Code.
Brenning received her Bachelor of Arts degree (Philosophy) from
Wittenberg University and her Juris Doctorate from Capital University
Law School in 1996. Prior to her tenure with Kegler Brown, Brenning
worked in private practice.
Traci
A. McGuire, who has been with the firm for eight years, has
been named as a firm director practicing in the areas of Litigation
and Mediation Services; she specializes in trial and appellate work,
representing individuals and corporate clients in complex business
and commercial disputes involving property, personal injury, employment
and labor, contractual and construction disputes and medical malpractice
and wrongful death actions. She also chairs the Women Lawyers’
Initiative Committee and serves as coordinator of the firm's mock
trial program.
McGuire received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees
from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State
University College of Law in 1999. She also is a 2005 recipient
of Business First’s “Forty Under 40” award.
Élise
D. Spriggs, who has been of counsel with Kegler Brown, has been
named as a firm director practicing in the areas of Administrative
Law, Gaming Law and Government and Regulatory Affairs. Spriggs currently
chairs the firm’s Government and Regulatory Affairs practice
area.
In 2006, Spriggs was appointed to serve as a member of the Clark
State Community College Board of Trustees. Prior to joining Kegler
Brown, she was employed as director of legislative affairs for a
former Ohio governor. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree (History)
from Wittenberg University and her Juris Doctorate from Capital
University Law School in 1997.
Eric
B. Travers, who has been with Kegler Brown since 2005, has been
named as a firm director practicing in the areas of Construction
Law and Litigation; his representative clients include subcontractors,
suppliers, architects, owners, contractors and others in the construction
industry.
Travers received a Bachelor of Arts degree (English and Political
Science) from Lake Forest College (Chicago, IL) and his Juris Doctorate
from The George Washington University Law School in 1998.
